This is a great first step for those interested in self-publishing and curious about the process of registering an ISBN number or obtaining copyrights. Mercer does a fine job of outlining the basics of how exactly this process applies to you and will benefit you and your book in the long run, as well as how it applies in the international marketplace. Mercer writes clearly, and although this guide is short, she includes vital information that will remain useful and relevant to self-publishers for a long time.

This book is jam-packed with tons of useful information--Mercer leads you through everything you need to know about obtaining ISBNs and copyrights for your books in a way that is as pain-free as possible. This book answered all my questions and more, and made it easy to start the process of getting a book ready for sale and distribution. I highly recommend this useful and expertly-written guide.

Great, well written information.March 14, 2015
What I loved about this eBook. 1/ It was short. Yes, I loved that. The author assumes her reader is intelligent enough to catch on to how to do things the first time she explains it—and she explains everything so clearly. I do tire of how to do things books that are bulked out with excess words that make it hard to find the useful information. Dorothy May Mercer (Author) avoids doing that. 2/ I loved that the information was easy to follow and ideal for a beginner, yet there were ideas that a seasoned pro could try. A seasoned pro-writer is far too busy to wade through a thick book to get basic how-to information. This takes me full circle to my first reason for loving the book, clear, easy to understand information given in a few pages and without the waffle. I plan to read more of this author's ‘How To’ books over the coming week or so. First, I'm heading off to put some of the ideas I gained from this book into effect.

Dorothy Mercer has given us a simplistic, easy to understand guide to formatting! I have to admit that I have a mental block against formatting because it all seemed so complex and overwhelming. This book gives you exactly what you need to get the job done and is written so that you totally understand - it's not Greek. A must have for the self-publisher! FIVE STARS!
